(who protect the protectors who protect the protectors who protect the protectors)
At defense contractor Boykin Dean, Millie and Francine are training computers to do…something. That something is very important for protecting our protectors, our ‘boys’ (sorry, our ‘people’) abroad who fight for our freedom. Their families are very proud. Their security clearance is low. Their supervisor is the girlboss to end all girlbosses. When a new coworker with direct ties to the military disrupts the peaceful duo, Millie must muddle through ethical questions about the true nature of her work amidst a budding secret romance.

Staff Picks #113: “Freck has written an exciting play that both sheds a light on the developing world of military technology and forces the audience to remember the human lives that provide the labor for those institutions to exist. This play does a good job asking the question HOW to live, when living demands the sacrifices of others – and how easy it is to exist when you ignore those sacrifices.” -kanishk pandey
Interview with kanishk pandey: “My biggest motivator, as a writer, is wondering why people, especially women, make certain tough decisions – what political circumstances, economic circumstances, social circumstances motivate people to make decisions that [New Yorkers] would look down upon.”
