Spring 2025

Protect the Protectors has been named a finalist for The Lanford Wilson New American Play Festival.

Protect the Protectors has received an Annual Artist Grant from The Puffin Foundation, Ltd.

Elena’s new one-act Heaven is a Date With Your Ex and Her Ex will be presented as a staged reading at the Vino Theatre in Brooklyn on March 29, alongside the other DTC Chick Magnet cohort members’ new plays. (Tickets here).

Winter 2025

Elena is a member of the inaugural cohort of Dyke Theatre Co.‘s Chick Magnet: A New Play Incubator.

Protect the Protectors will be workshopped in Mouths of Babes Theatre’s Scotopia Festival in Wilmington, NC in March.

Elena started a new job with the development team at Roundabout Theatre Company. Yeah, she “works on Broadway.”

Fall 2024

Elena spent a week in Averill Park, New York as an artist-in-residence at Arts Letters & Numbers.

A four scene excerpt from Elena’s play Protect the Protectors had a staged reading in Paper Kraine’s September show ‘Falling Up’ at Under St. Marks Theater.

Protect the Protectors had a full staged reading at The Tank directed by Clara Livingston. And it was awesome!

Elena’s play WalkOver has been named a Semi-Finalist for the National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center.

Elena has been promoted to Development Manager at St. Ann’s Warehouse.
