Dramaturgy

Ever the A-student, when Elena found dramaturgy in college it felt like the natural integration of her love for theatre and her hunger for research and synthetization. Under the mentorship of professors Robert Duffley and Marissa Friedman, she learned to listen to her investigative instincts and place herself in the mind of an audience member new to the text. Now, whenever Elena reads or attends a new play, her mind can’t help but wander to what subjects and conclusions would be included in the dramaturgy packet. She is always open to inquiries as a dramaturg, whether it’s as a production dramaturg on a fully-fledged existing work or a quick script consultation on a newborn piece.
